Harder Ores Mod 1.12.2/1.11.2 for Minecraft is a part of the mod collection “Reasonable Realism” developed by Draco18s. The reason for the dividing of this collection is currently unknown. Many had speculated that the division allows Draco18s to focus his effort to upgrade mods that are loved by the players and speed up their releases. “Reasonable Realism” is consisted of 4 mods: Harder ores, Harder Wildlife (now known as Harder Farming), Harder Underground and Expanded Industry.
Once installed Harder Ores together with Custom Ore Generation, instead of normal ores that can be extracted and smelt right away, players would have a chance to encounter Hard Ores. The Hard Ores only spawn as 1 block instead of a vein like normal ones, but players can extract this block many times to obtain “Raw Ores”. Players can build grinders that use wind power to refine Raw Ores into Ores Dust, and then use Sifter to concentrate it into Pile of Dust and smelt it into metals. Now the ore refining process can be more interesting.

How to Install Harder Ores Mod 1.12.2/1.11.2 with Forge Modloader
- Download Forge Installer, HardLib, Custome Ore Generation, Harder Ores.jar file.
- Right click Forge Installer, Run as Administrator and press OK to install Forge. (You can skip this step if you’ve installed Minecraft Forge)
- Open Start on desktop > Open Run (Or you can use the Windows + R keyboard shortcut)
- Type %appdata% into Run and press Enter.
- Go to folder /.minecraft/mods
- Put jar file of the mod you have downloaded into mods folder and then run Minecraft. Done!
