Slice of Life is a captivating survival map that’s worth trying out because it’s based on a very unique concept and its setting is one of the most creative settings that we’ve seen in a while. However, on top of its distinct concept, the Slice of Life map also has a variety of intriguing new gameplay mechanics to offer that set it apart from the crowd. Unlike parkour and adventure maps, innovation is something that isn’t commonly seen in the survival map category because a lot of its maps are based on the same concepts and ideas, but Slice of Life goes against this trend and manages to give players something truly innovative to enjoy.

The Slice of Life map takes place in a carefully crafted game world in which there’s only a small patch of land that actually supports life. The planet that this map takes place in doesn’t rotate on its axis and, alongside this, it doesn’t revolve around the sun either which is why one side of the world is completely frozen whereas the other side is extremely hot. However, between these two hot and cold areas, lies a very small patch of land that’s actually habitable and you’ll have to try and survive in this area.
