The Minecraft Guideposts Mod for Minecraft introduces a new decorative item called the Guidepost. Guidepost is similar in appearance to the regular Minecraft Sign, but it automatically display useful information for the player. With this information, you can search for important areas of Minecraft world more simply. Guidepost helps players find precious mineral resources, villages and other natural structures but still keeps the interestingness when finding those. You can create these Guidepost to look for special place around you. Or you may encounter these Guidepost randomly during you adventure.
You can Right-click on Guildpost placed on the wall to find the villages and mineral ores or Ctrl+Right-click to find natural structures, the Guildpost will show different location if the displaying one is already discover. Sometimes these Guildpost will point to items and you can guess the location you about to discover (Tripwire Hook can be Jungle Temple, Monster Spawner will be Dungeon, TNT may be Desert Temples,…)

How to Install The Minecraft Guideposts Mod 1.12.2 for Minecraft
- Download Forge Installer, Guideposts.jar file
- Right click Forge Installer, Run as Administrator and press OK to install Forge. (You can skip this step if you’ve installed Minecraft Forge)
- Open Start on desktop > Open Run (Or you can use the Windows + R keyboard shortcut)
- Type %appdata% into Run and press enter.
- Go to folder /.minecraft/mods
- Put jar file of the Mod into mods folder and then run Minecraft. Done!
